calciolariStefano Calciolari, Assistant Professor in HealthCare Management, Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI, Lugano):

Stefano is Assistant Professor and Co-director of the Executive Master in Health Management and Economics (NetMEGS) at the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI) (Switzerland), Adjunct Professor of the SDA Bocconi School of Management at Bocconi University (Italy) and Visiting Scholar at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy at the University of Sydney. He is interested in change management for care integration and e-health, economic evaluation of health programs and technologies, performance management in the public sector. He is member of EURAM, IRSPM – where he regularly chair tracks dedicated to healthcare management – and AOM. He is associate editor of the International Journal of Integrated Care.

cottier Bertil Cottier, Full Professor of Law, Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI, Lugano):

Full professor and former Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Lugano. Studied law at the University of Lausanne and at the School of Law of Columbia University (New York). Worked as court reporter for the newspaper “24 Heures” (1977-1983), then as staff legal advisor for the media law and data protection units of the Federal Office of Justice (Bern, 1984-1987). From 1987 to 2005, deputy director of the Swiss Institute of Comparative Law. From 2004 to 2006, director of the advanced studies program on law, criminality and security of new technologies (Universities of Lausanne and Geneva). From 2006 Associate Professor at the Law Faculty of the University of Lausanne (Internet Governance) and guest Professor at the Academy of Journalism (University of Neuchâtel).

Member of the board of the Board of the Swiss National Science Foundation, editor of Medialex (Swiss journal of communications law), member of the Data protection commission of the canton of Ticino. Expert for the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces.

Greta Nasi, Associate Professor of Public Management, Bocconi University

Greta Nasi is associate professor at the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management at Bocconi University. Since January 2013 she is also Director of the Public Management and Policy Department at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She has been teaching at undergraduate and graduate level at Bocconi University and in other institutions, including University of Geneva; Erasmus University Rotterdam; School of Management of the University of London at Royal Holloway. Her area of research focuses on innovation in the public sector and ehealth. She is currently member of the OECD Associate Group of the Observatory of Public Sector Innovation. Her work has been published both in domestic and international outlets, as Public Administration, Public Management Review and Governance; Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, International Journal of Public Sector Management, Journal of Policy Analysis and Management.

Martial Pasquier, Full Professor of Public Management and Marketing, and Director of the Swiss Public Administration Network, IDHEAP

Martial Pasquier studied at the Universities of Fribourg, Berne and Berkeley. From 1998 to 2003, he was Director of a consulting firm and lecturer at various universities. He became a full IDHEAP Professor of Public Management and Marketing in 2003. He is a former Vice-President of the Swiss Competition Commission and is visiting professor at the Universities of Berne, Lugano, Strasbourg, Nancy II, Paris II and Aix-Marseille. He is Director of both the Swiss Public Administration Network (since 2008) and the “ProDoc” Doctoral Program in Public Administration (since 2009), which involves IDHEAP and the universities of Berne, Lausanne, and Lugano, and aims to promote academic teaching and research in public administration.

villeneuveJean-Patrick Villeneuve, Senior Assistant Professor of Public Communication and Management, Università della Svizzera Italiana:

Jean-Patrick Villeneuve is senior assistant professor at the University of Lugano. He holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (Switzerland), and other degrees from Cambridge, Concordia and McGill Universities. He has worked at the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and in the Canadian Parliament. His research interests include transparency, gambling regulation and citizen-administration relationships.

lomiAlessandro Lomi, Full Professor of Management, Università della Svizzera Italiana:

Alessandro Lomi is a Professor of Organization Theory and Behavior at the University of Lugano (Switzerland) and a ordinary member of the Swiss National Science Foundation where he also serves as vice-chair of the Commission for Interdisciplinary Research. His current research include the dynamics of social networks within and between organizations and demographic models of organizational populations and communities. In 2012 he was elected into life membership at Clare Hall College, University of Cambridge (U.K.). He holds a Doctoral degree from Cornell University (Ithaca, New York).
